Sean Sweeney Builder Ltd has been a Christchurch based building company since 2004. At the beginning it was one builder doing extensions and alterations. In 2016 we have a qualified team of 10.

Residential & Light Commercial
We specialise in architectural and new hill builds and have extensive experience in additions and alterations, using construction materials that are as strong and durable as they are good-looking. We also have experinece with shop fitouts and small commercial builds.
Post earthquake Sean Sweeney Builder Ltd has worked on projects direct with clients as well as Hawkins and Southern Response. These projects included large repairs and new builds.
We are Licensed Building Practitioners and a members of the Registered master Builders Association. There is no better re-assurance that your home will be built to the standards of the NZ Building Code and to an exceptional level in quality.

We have contracted Sean Sweeney Builders over the past three years to complete several retail shop fit-outs in shopping malls.
Our initial work with Sean Sweeney Builders involved small upgrades to clinics that operate seven days per week and need very controlled time-lines, often after mall hours. Their work in these projects was exemplary, maintaining very good communication, attention to detail and responsibility for the end result.
From their success in these projects we invited them to tender, as lead contractor, for two larger complete shop upgrades. (project cost between $150K and $400K). Both projects were complex requiring complete refits to be carried out over ten to fourteen days and including eight wet areas. Sean Sweeney Builders won both competitive tenders on price, project timeline and guarantee. Both projects were completed within time-lines, price and exclusions well communicated and managed.
